The photos tell a story of what i really see
All the little fishes swimming in the big green sea
Two little fishes I just gobbled for my tea.
I have no problem really when I eat my fish for supper
But whaling ships and shark's fin soup we really ought to scupper.
One Friday tea time in July, John arrives home from work, the weather forecast for the weekend is gorgeous, so quite typical for us we make a few calls, one to the dive centre down at Porthkerris to check the forecast at sea and the availability on the boats, and a few calls to the local guest houses.
We eventually found a place that wasn’t fully booked so we threw the dive gear and a few toiletries in the car and we were on our way to Cornwall. We had decided to do two beach dives on Saturday and two boat dives on Sunday before heading home. Unfortunately though, after two great beach dives I sprained my ankle making it impossible for me to dive on the boat on Sunday. Fortunately the dive centre gave us a credit note for the boat dives, so we will still get to go and dive the Manacles later in the year. I should also mention how the very attentive staff ran to the house and returned with a bag of frozen quorn for me to put on my ankle. It was very much appreciated but I do hope they still had something in for their supper! Porthkerris Divers is a very well equipped dive site with good shore access and a friendly service. Visibility on the beach dives was excellent, sea life in abundance and I can’t wait to go back and dive the Manacles to take some more photos.
